Volunteer Rules

Rules

Anime Nebraskon is getting ready for 2011 and we need volunteers to help us make this another great year. As such,  before signing up for a volunteer’s position you have to understand volunteering for a convention is both an honor and job at the same time. As a volunteer for Anime Nebraskon we ask that you follow a simple code of conduct throughout the convention.

  1. In order to be eligible to volunteer for Anime Nebraskon you must first purchase a 2011 membership either though pre-registration or at the door.
  2. The minimum age to volunteer for Anime Nebraskon is Fourteen (14).
  3. Be courteous and respectful to your fellow attendees, volunteers, and staff.
  4. Maintain good personal hygiene through out the days of the convention.
  5. All volunteers must adhere to the same rules as convention attendees.
  6. No volunteers will consume, transport, or carry alcoholic beverages or any controlled substances of any kind while they are working.
    • All volunteers must appear and act sober when reporting for and during there shifts. If you are under the influence or any controlled substance the volunteers department may ask you to remove yourself for the convention space in order to sober up.

We provide volunteers with the opportunity to earn a complete reimbursement of their badge along with access to the volunteer's lounge, where they can relax, have a bit to eat, and mingle with fellow volunteers.

4 hours Volunteer Lounge
7 hours Half reimbursement
15 hours Full reimbursement

We are also offering a grand prize this year for the volunteer who contributes the most hours to the convention by the end of Saturday by midnight.
There will be a mandatory volunteer's meeting before the convention officially starts in which your final volunteer's schedule will be issued and the code of conduct will be verbally read out loud. Please note if you are scheduled for a time, please report to the volunteer’s desk at least ten (10) minutes before your shift officially starts.

Make sure you understand and are willing to follow all the rules listed above before volunteering.
